What is the production process of silicone molds
1. Use a plastic bowl to hold 500g of glue, add 1.5% curing agent at room temperature, stir well and set aside.
2. Treat and lubricate the mother mold blank with a release agent.
3. The lubricated mother billet should be surrounded by wooden strips, which should also be treated with release agents. The gap in the middle should be 2-4cm.
4. Slowly pour the prepared adhesive along a fixed pouring point, shaking it from time to time to eliminate any air inside.
5. After 60 minutes of complete curing of the adhesive, wrap it around with wooden strips, leaving a 4cm gap, and fold off the original wooden strips.
6. Mix 1000g of gypsum powder with water and inject it into the wooden frame until it is full (the wooden frame should be divided into two parts using plastic sheets to facilitate demolding).
7. After 20 minutes, remove the wooden strips and the mold will be completed.
Notes:
1. The amount of curing agent added should depend on the temperature, and decreases when the temperature is high. Excessive use of curing agents can cause the mold to become hard and brittle; Using too little curing agent will prolong the operation time.
2. To prevent changes in the physical properties of the silicone gel in the mold, it is recommended not to add silicone oil.
3. In order for your mold to achieve optimal performance, please store the mold for at least 24 hours before use.
4. Hard molds can also be made of resin.
